Roadmap
The Roadmap page in the Leera Project Management Application provides a high-level view of the project timeline, illustrating the progression of tasks, features, and sprints over time. This visual representation is essential for planning and tracking the overall direction of your project, ensuring that milestones are met and deadlines are adhered to.
Header Navigation
At the top of the Roadmap page, the following options are available:
- Share: Share the current roadmap view with other team members or stakeholders.
- Export: Export the roadmap to a file format of your choice for offline viewing or reporting.
- Create Epic: Initiate the creation of an epic, which is a larger body of work that can encompass multiple tasks or sprints.
Roadmap View
The main content area where the roadmap is displayed is divided into two sections:
Release and Sprint Columns
- Located on the left, showing a list of releases and sprints.
- Each sprint contains associated tasks or features.
Timeline
- Located on the right, displaying the duration and progress of tasks, sprints, or epics in a Gantt chart-like format.
Detailed Task and Sprint Information
Each sprint and task in the roadmap is presented with detailed information, making it easier to track the project’s progress over time:
Release and Sprint Organization
- The left-hand column is organized by release and sprint.
Each sprint contains tasks, features, or epics scheduled for completion.- For example, under the “Workflow” sprint, tasks such as “Delete Workflow,” “Create Workflow,” and “Get Workflow” are listed.
Task Status
- Each task within a sprint has a status indicator:
- TODO: Task not yet started.
- DONE: Task completed.
- Additional markers, such as N for new tasks, may also appear.
Timeline View
- The timeline provides a visual representation of tasks' progress.
- Colored bars indicate the start and end dates of tasks.
- Colors may represent different aspects, such as status or priority.
- Clearly marked dates help users track deadlines and task progress.
Interaction and Management
Users can interact with the Roadmap page to manage and adjust the project timeline effectively:
Zoom and Scroll
- Zoom in and out or scroll horizontally through the timeline to view specific time periods or the entire project span.
Task Interaction
- Clicking on a task allows users to:
- View more details.
- Edit the task.
- Update its status directly from the roadmap view.
Create Epic
- The Create Epic button enables users to define larger bodies of work that can span multiple sprints or releases, helping to organize and prioritize significant project goals.
Export and Share
- Export: Generate a file of the roadmap for reporting or offline use.
- Share: Distribute the roadmap to team members or stakeholders, ensuring alignment on the project timeline.
